Weather in Rapid City SD

Weather in Rapid City is fairly consistent throughout the year, although the city experiences its share of cold spells. The average daytime temperature is in the mid-30s. In summer, it is best to plan a trip to Mount Rushmore in Rapid City. This imposing monument is located 35 miles away. There is no entrance fee to view the statues, but you have to pay for parking.
